The “Music Academy” journal and the Union of Composers of Russia have announced the 1st International Musicological Competition “Music Academy”. Young scientists from various countries, who write in Russian, will demonstrate their skills of classical and modern music analysis and compete for three main prizes (the first prize is 100 thousand rubles) and special prizes.
The selection committee and the jury include authoritative musicologists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan: Mikhail Saponov, Marina Raku, Levon Hakopian, Larisa Kirillina, Konstantin Zenkin, Natalia Braginskaya, Alexander Maklygin and others.
Anyone under the age of 35 can take part in this competition. Applications are accepted from 1st September, 2020 until 31st October. 2020. The second tour will be held on 12th December, 2020 in Moscow Conservatory. The award ceremony will be on 13th December, 2020 in the Rachmaninov Hall.
