"Music Academy" and the Union of Composers of Russia announced the Second International Musicological Competition "Music Academy". Russian-speaking participants from different countries will try again their hand at writing scientific articles and conducting a discussion on the centuries-old history or theory of music. As in 2020, three prizes (150, 100 and 50 thousand rubles) and special prizes were announced.

The jury of the first and second rounds, as always, includes the most famous musicologists of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Rostov-on-Don: Marina Raku, Anatoly Tsuker, Ekaterina Tsareva, Larisa Gerver, Grigory Lyzhov, Roman Nasonov and others.

Anyone under the age of 35 can take part in the competition. Applications are accepted from the 15th May, 2022 until 31st September, 2022. The final will be held on December 3 in the format of an open scientific conference at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and the award ceremony will be held on December 4 in the Rachmaninov Hall.
